The primary research for this essay was completed with support of the Media Archaeology Lab as an on-site resident in January of 2019. In the 1970s, the personal electronics market was experiencing a revolution. This revolution was predominantly named Pong- but through the many versions of Pong and other single-game home devices, computing machines had become a true consumer good.
