as social network cartography gets more advanced, i wouldn’t be surprised if people develop something like anti-surveillance makeup but for their digital personalities. i liked the way @mostlyvibing put it: “containing multitudes will be incentivized” i think a lot of ppl are resistant to the idea of being mapped & tagged by faraway data analysts who don’t know you. maybe one defense mechanism that emerges is increased psychological speed limits — getting good at flitting through many identities/vibes, becoming a moving target – @aaronzlewis
